Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo around Boston

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. So like any other holiday, here's where you can eat and of corse drink around Boston.

Cask N' Flagon next to Fenway Park is celebrating Cinco de Mayo today with special cocktails, snack and Mexican cuisine.   

City Tap House will bring the spirit of Cinco de Mayo to Fort Point with special menu items like a trio of guac. 

Cinco de Mayo at Poe's Taco Room at Lower Depths is where to be in Kenmore Square today. Chef Brian Poe is rocking his “Burrito de Mayo” special, a burrito paired with your choice of a selection of Mexican-style beers ($15 for the pairing).

Lansdowne Street comes alive tonight at Loretta's Last Call Cinco Fiesta, they have a tequila tasting, giveaways, live music and more.

 

 

Mexican around Boston Top Picks  

Papagayo - Downtown Boston, Fort Point, and Somerville. Known for the best guacamole and special hand crafted margaritas.  

Fajita’s & ‘Rita’s - Located in Downtown Street, Boston's original Tex-Mex and Margarite Bar. You might find me there actually.

Temazcal - Seaports Districts go to Tequila Bar, This classy Mexican hot spot is where to be seen this Cinco de Mayo. 

 

 

Mija - Located in Boston's historic Faneuil Hall, Mija knows how to rock Cinco de Mayo. Make sure you try the grilled avocado tacos and yes the margaritas. 

Loco - South Boston's taqueria and oyster bar. who's says Southie has only Irish bars.  

 

 

Lolita Cocina - Located in Boston's Back Bay, we have featured them before with one of Boston's best Margaritas.  

Lone Star Taco Bar - Two locations (Allston & Cambridge) Awesome tacos and amazing margaritas and one of my favorit small batch teqiola selections.
