8th Annual Canine Promenade

Known as a Boston dog lover’s favorite, the Canine Promenade is a 1/2‐mile Halloween costume parade around the Esplanade to benefit the Park, highlight the Esplanade as a resource for dog owners, and celebrate the Fall season.

The parade will be led by radio personality Kennedy Elsey of Karson & Kennedy on Mix 104.

In addition to the costume parade, there will be a variety of games, demos, and giveaways for attendees to enjoy, as well as goodie bags for all attendees.

All dogs must be registered to be eligible to receive a goody bag and prizes. Spectators are welcome!

The purpose of the Canine Promenade is to promote the Esplanade as a resource for dog owners. The newly restored Lotta Fountain, just west of the Esplanade Playspace, is one example of a dog-friendly amenity in the Park. Throughout the year, the Lotta Fountain offers a fillable water bowl for dogs.
