Online Dating Meets Vampires at The Rockwell: THIRSTY
Parched? To coincide with Halloween weekend, The Rockwell will present “THIRSTY,” a twisted romantic comedy from Ya Bird? Productions where online dating meets the world of vampires. In Ya Bird? Productions’ first full-length play, the “deep web” is revealed and the routine “swipe” search for a companion becomes that much more complicated…and messy.
It’s a tale as old as time: Jeremy is a normal, single guy looking for a nice girl. Sick of the same online dating apps, he decides to try something new after his friend introduces him to "Thirsty," a new and exciting dating app. Jeremy meets Vanessa, a strong and seductive woman who seems to enjoy his company, but Jeremy has his doubts. Is she actually a woman or is there more than meets the eye? Written by Greg Hovanesian and directed by Haris Lefteri, the truth will only be revealed when the sun comes up.
