Team IMPACT 2017 “Game Day Gala”
On Wednesday, April 26, Team IMPACT, nonprofit matching children with life-threatening and chronic illnesses with college
athletic teams will host its fifth annual “Game Day Gala” at the Seaport World Trade Center. The annual sports-themed soirée will celebrate five life-changing years, more than 1,100 children matched and 35,000 participating college athletes from over 450 schools.
Co-chaired by two of Team IMPACT’s founding members, Dan Kraft (President, The Kraft Group-International) and Jay Calnan (Chief Executive Officer, J. Calnan & Associates), the celebration will be emceed by prominent ESPN anchor, Wendi Nix. Past notable attendees have included former and current members of the New England Patriots, team owner Robert Kraft and Governor Charlie Baker.
The festivities will kick-off with a “pre-game tailgate”, during which attendees can purchase raffle tickets for a 2017 Audi Convertible donated by Prime Motors. The Harvard University marching band will be on hand to turn up the volume with live music and guests will participate in a silent auction featuring unique weekend getaways, high-end wine packages, and signed sports memorabilia. When “game time” commences, attendees will be treated to a seated dinner program, complete with a lineup of inspiring stories from Team IMPACT children and families. The gala will also include a world-class live auction, with prizes ranging from one-of-a-kind sports experiences and collectibles to luxury travel packages.
