On December 31, sister restaurants Foundry on Elm and Saloon will celebrate New Year’s Eve in Davis Square by featuring a series of dinner specials followed by dancing the night away with sounds by two of Boston’s top deejay talents.
For supper, executive chef Shayne Nunes has designed four specials that are available in addition to the regular menus at both Foundry and Saloon. For entrees, there is Pan Roasted Diver Scallops with crispy pork belly, Brussels sprouts, acorn squash puree and a pomegranate pork jus ($32) and a tender Grilled Filet Mignon with roasted garlic whipped potatoes, asparagus, crispy shallots and a truffle bordelaise ($39). To close out the year with one last bit of indulgence, there is a duo of desserts: Flourless Chocolate Cake with peanut butter mousse, candied peanuts and dark chocolate sauce ($8) and a Blood Orange Tart with coconut whipped cream and candied orange zest ($8).
The final party of 2016 will start at 10pm at both venues with DJ Madsol-Desar taking to the turntables at Foundry on Elm and DJ Axel Foley manning the ones-and-twos downstairs at Saloon. Whether you’re happily kissing a sour year goodbye or looking back on the past 365 days with tears of joy, Foundry and Saloon have your needs covered.
Dinner starts at 5pm at both venues, with reservations available from 6-9pm. The New Year’s Eve parties start at 10pm at both venues.
