First Night First Day 2017 is a highly anticipated two-day, city-wide celebration that is free and open to the public. The long running festival features family-friendly activities including:
- A parade down Boylston Street - A spectacular pyrotechnics show - Maritime legend inspired ice sculptures, - Performances from local artists/musicians - The Boston Public Library’s new “400 Years of Shakespeare” exhibit - The “Copley Countdown”, a highly anticipated annual countdown to the New Year
First Night is a 501(c)(3) non-profit event, made possible by the generous donations provided by individuals and corporate sponsors. This year we are looking to the public to help bring the celebration to life.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has generously donated proceeds from a limited number of Boston Pops tickets to the opening night performance of Holiday Pops on November 30th.
