Kendall Square’s newly opened Sumiao Hunan Kitchen is continuing its tradition of bringing imbibers a new monthly cocktail special available all month for only $7. During the month of November, the SHK bar team will be shaking up a spiked hot tea concoction that keeps you warm and comforted during the change of seasons while keeping your wallet happy.

                        The foundation of SHK’s Hot Toddy is a warm lemon-honey black tea that is enriched by the depth of whiskey, a spirit that captures the earthy essence of autumn in New England. A housemade lavender-clove reduction is folded in and the cocktail is finished with a sweet dose of Disaronno Amaretto and garnished with a lemon twist.
