Leave No One Behind is the signature fundraising event to support the many programs and services at the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV). All proceeds will benefit NECHV’s capital needs, clinical support services, and the onsite Veterans Training School. The event is an occasion to honor and appreciate the military service and sacrifice of those who serve and have served.
Hosted by Master of Ceremonies and NECN News Anchor Mike Nikitas, this year’s event will pay tribute to the Veterans of the Vietnam era. The keynote speaker will be Captain Arvin R. Chauncey, U.S. Navy (Retired), who was held as a Prisoner of War in North Vietnam from 1967 to 1973.
Each year at Leave No One Behind, a Veteran is recognized with the “Battlefield Citation” award for their achievements both during and after their call of duty. The 2017 event will also honor Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker with the Brian A. Brooks Distinguished Service to Veterans Award, and will feature a performance by singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor.
