Irish folklore says there are two types of people: the Irish, and the ones who wish they were Irish. With that in mind, Cask ‘n Flagon at Fenway is giving everyone the chance to channel their inner-Irish by serving up themed specials for three days straight.
From March 16-18, chef Jimmy Regalado will be serving up a taste of Éire with his traditional Boiled Dinner featuring corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and rutabaga paired with a slice of Irish soda bread ($15.99) and Irish Nachos, sliced potatoes topped with shredded corned beef, nacho cheese, bacon, scallions and sour cream with pico de gallo on the side ($10.99).
On the liquid side, drink specials come twofold. Created by resident cocktail man Eric Hecht, drinks that will have revelers green with envy include the Irish Apple – available as a cocktail or a shot – with Crown Royal Apple and Bailey’s Irish Cream ($9.25) and The Cask also will give any draft beer selection a dash of green food dye on request, should you want to bleed green.
